Grace Thayer

Grant Writer & Storytelling Educator

Grace Thayer (she/her) is the Grant Writer and Storytelling Educator for LLV. She joins our team with a background in writing and storytelling. She loves to utilize writing and language as a powerful tool to share diverse histories across a wide range of communities so that all voices are heard. Grace also has a background of working with youth and teaching, spanning elementary education through higher education. She is passionate about matching quantitative data with qualitative storytelling.

Grace is a graduate student of English with a concentration in American Studies. Her research interests lie in the intersection between post-colonial theory and BIPOC literature. Her past research as an undergrad at Bridgewater State University toed the line between English, Sociology, and Anthropology, as a Native American Indigenous Studies and African American Studies double minor. Ultimately, her focus in and outside the classroom is on listening and amplifying underrepresented voices, so everyone is allowed the humanity they deserve.

Grace serves in AmeriCorps and is a member of The International English Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta.
