YWCA Southeastern Massachusetts Becomes Fiscal Sponsor of Lantern for Lost Voices

New partnership strengthens capacity for sharing untold stories, educating the community, and commemorating lives history forgot.

ATTLEBORO, Massachusetts (July 18, 2024) – Lantern for Lost Voices (LLV), a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and sharing untold stories of the past, is pleased to announce a new partnership with YWCA Southeastern Massachusetts as our fiscal sponsor.

This collaboration will provide Lantern for Lost Voices with the financial and administrative infrastructure needed to expand our reach and impact. YWCA Southeastern Massachusetts, with its commitment to empowering women and eliminating racism, aligns with our mission to amplify marginalized voices throughout history through research, commemoration, and community education.

We are excited for this collaboration among our organizations. As someone who has worked with YWCA in the past on multiple projects in other capacities, I am happy to be part of this new journey, states Danielle St. Pierre, Co-executive Director and Director of Education for Lantern for Lost Voices. Empowering the voices of those that are often excluded from our systems is extremely important to both of our organizations. It is through this partnership that all voices will be heard, and we will be one step closer to creating a positive impact on our communities.

Through this fiscal sponsorship, Lantern for Lost Voices will continue to develop innovative projects, including expanding the research of the experiences of residents in poor farms and almshouses across the New England region as well as area-specific projects highlighting the social and economic contributions of the working class. We are excited about the possibilities this partnership will unlock as we work together to illuminate the past and inspire a more inclusive future.
